Staying Okay...
2010
Piles.
Piles of books.
Piles of stuff.
Piles of worries.
Piles of fears.
Piles piling up.
Piles were the inspiration for this collection of multiple ("piled") negative darkroom prints. This creative journey was one of a kind for me, taking inspiration from the epic work of Jerry Uelsmann. These "piled" film negatives explored the negative psychological pressures that surrounded me at the time, and how I was going to climb out of them. Each original darkroom print required a lot of creative problem solving and diligent persevering effort which mirrored my own life journey.
